The course emphasizes a sample of topics in microeconomic theory ranging from the theory of competitive markets to industrial organization, welfare economics, information, and incentives. The lectures are supplemented by problem-solving exercises. Topics: general equilibrium; partial equilibrium; externalities; imperfect competition; asymmetric information; bounded rationality and behavioral aspects; model application exercises.
