FRS courses are designed to give students and understanding of a foreign legal system presented in that country's language.

This course will emphasize developing a broad understanding of the United States of America and its legal system in context. Students will be taught how the legal education system in America works as well, with a strong emphasis on the ability to read and interpret case law via the "case briefing" method. Other assignments will also be provided to further develop legal skills and contextual understanding.

Specific issues in the area of constitutional law will be covered with an emphasis on major Supreme Court cases, including issues surrounding elections, personal rights, and freedom of speech - looked at within the legal, political, and societal context. Students will also have the ability to research an important Supreme Court case of their choosing.
