This is a survey course of U.S. law that will explore topics in contract law, civil procedure, and property law.  The goal of the course is threefold: (1) to provide students with a foundational understanding of the American legal system in context, (2) to discuss the theory of select topics within the fields of law covered using American case law research methods, and (3) to practice solving legal problems similar to those that a legal practitioner may see in real life, such as reviewing a contract or drafting legal advice.
