COIL stands for Collaborative Online International Learning and is an approach in which students from different countries and cultures work together in mixed groups to complete a task.
The joint initiative BeCOIL of nine Berlin higher education institutions aims to promote the internationalization of curricula and to make global skills accessible to all students and teachers through collaborative projects. It enables the acquisition of intercultural skills without having to leave Berlin.
