The course introduces the basic principles of systems biology. It presents the theoretical foundations of network theory and applies them to biological
networks. Different modeling approaches deal with the static and dynamic analysis of, among others, metabolic, signaling and gene expression networks. It entails analysis of experimental data and parameter estimation. This years specific topics comprise application of optimality and optimal control.
