Greek Reading Group

This course is offered as a Hauptseminar in lieu of the colloquium usually offered by Jonathan Beere. We will read some text of Greek philosophy (yet to be determined; probably Aristotle) in the original language, translating it into English and discussing its interpretation in detail.

Prerequisites: Language of instruction is English. Knowledge of ancient Greek required. Permission of the instructor required (except for members of the graduate program in ancient philosophy).
