Teaching at the Philosophische Fakultät – An Introduction for PhD students

An online workshop by PD Dr. Urmila Goel, Institut für Europäische Ethnologie

 Teaching has to be learnt, at least if it is to be good. It requires both taking into account didactic challenges and the regulations of course content and examinations (Studien- und Prüfungsordnungen). The online workshop offers PhD students from the Philosophische Fakultät an opportunity to get to know the official requirements of their institutes and an introduction into principles of good teaching. Participants will develop a seminar concept, with which they can apply for a teaching assignment at their institute. The concepts will be discussed in the workshop.

 Depending on the language competences of the participants the workshop will be conducted in English or bilingual in German and English.

The workshop is made up of four sessions, the dates of the workshop are:
•    Friday, 29.10.21, 16.30 – 20.00
•    Saturday, 30.10.21, 14.30 – 18.00
•    Friday, 05.11.21, 14.30 – 18.00
•    Saturday, 06.11.21, 14.30 – 18.00
