In the winter semester 2020/21, Berlin Perspectives (BP) students will have the opportunity to meet online with students from the University of Sydney in January 2021. In this exchange, we would like to present Berlin and some of the Berlin Perspectives courses to the partners and students of the University of Sydney. What makes a point concerning Berlin? The wall, the museums, the nightlife, the colonial past…? Students will be invited to design short films (about 3-10 min.) and present a topic related to their BP courses. Ideally 2-3 students will work on one film.
The aim is to
present the films to the students from the University of Sydney, and to let
them participate virtually in the research area of Berlin.
In our meetings in November and December 2020 (7 sessions in 7 weeks), you will
develop your own research question and topic for your film (based on the BP
courses you are attending) and select what is relevant to be shown in the film.
The students’ motivation and participation are very important to the success of
this film project.
You will gain
2 extra ECTS for this film course. The 2 credit points will figure as
additional points on your transcript of records.
The weekly meetings will take place in Zoom and/or in presence, depending on
the overall situation.
It is planned to show the films to students from the University of Sydney, and possibly to other international students at the Humboldt International Campus (hic.hu-berlin.de) in the future. Your agreement on this is a prerequisite for your participation in the course.
