Linguistic and extralinguistic cues as well as external cues help us to process and understand the linguistic input. However, there are other factors that can affect the way we process language. As individuals, we are endowed with different (cognitive) skills, life experiences, views, and biological characteristics. The seminar will discuss the role of these individual differences in language processing. The students will be required to give short presentations in small groups and lead discussions on the research articles. The seminar requires a high engagement in discussions. The seminar will be in English.
