The students will get an overview about aquaculture practises aside traditional salmonid and common
carp farming in Germany. They gain knowledge about
- developments in world aquaculture,
- rearing concepts of different intensities,
- warm water and freshwater fish candidates,
- biology and cultivation of marine fish species, molluscs and crustaceans,
- evaluation and design of possible farm sites and
- approaches to improve sustainability and product quality.
