Could you please point directly north with your finger, right now? Quite difficult? In the Aboriginal community of Pormpuraaw (Australia), this seems to be effortless even for five-year-olds. In this seminar, we will discuss theoretical and empirical investigations that explore how these and other cognitive and perceptual abilities might be related to language.
