The following course is aimed at people studying Ukrainian at advanced level.
The course incorporates socio-cultural information about Ukraine and is based on Physical-Emotional-Cultural approach. It is aimed at furthering students’ knowledge of contemporary Ukrainian culture and social life and is designed to enhance their proficiency in all four language skills: reading, listening, speaking, and writing. The most attention is devoted to the improvement of students’ grammar and syntax competence, as the main task of the course is to lead the learners to the ability of producing coherent oral and written texts. Therefore, at every stage of the course grammar exercises are combined with communicative activities or public speaking trainings. At the end of the course the students are expected to carry out more creative and independent assignments such as discussions, press reviews, independent research and essays.
