This seminar will explore concerns and arguments associated with believing in a “God who hides.” We will approach this issue in its psychological, philosophical, theological, and spiritual aspects. Topics will include issues a Hidden God has raised for theistic religion and how the concept of a God who hides relates to atheism, naturalism, and “non-belief” in general. Concerning theistic religion, our primary focus will be on Judaism and Christianity.
